Dr. Ben T. Zinn, the David S. Lewis Chair Professor, has been chosen by the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology, to receive the Hanin Prize. As winner of this award, Professor Zinn will deliver the Hanin Memorial Lecture at the 52nd Israel Annual Conference on Aerospace Sciences. The conference covers all areas of aerospace sciences and will attract about 700 participants from academia and industry around the world.

The Hanin prize is named after Professor Meir Hanin who was one of the founding fathers of the department of Aerospace engineering at the Technion. Professor Hanin was a highly regarded aerospace engineer who made significant contributions to the development of Aerospace engineering education and industry in Israel.

Professor Zinn’s Hanin lecture will discuss recent developments in the field of combustion, focusing on reduced emissions and improved performance of power generating and propulsion systems.
